Workshop FAQs

Do I need previous experience?
Not unless the workshop listing says so. Some Hillform sessions are designed for complete beginners; others may recommend or require some previous experience. Each workshop page will make this clear.
Yes. Where multiple tickets are available, one purchaser can book for several attendees. We will ask for the details we need for each person so workshop information reaches the right people and the tutor can plan appropriately.
Depending on the workshop, we may ask for each attendee’s name, email address, postcode, dietary requirements, accessibility information and age where an age requirement applies. We will only collect information relevant to the booking and experience.
Each workshop listing will tell you what is included and what, if anything, you need to bring. We will repeat the practical information in your pre-workshop reminder.
It depends on the workshop. Where lunch, refreshments or other catering is included, this will be stated on the workshop page. If we need dietary information, you will be asked for it when booking.
Unless the listing states otherwise, your booking is for the complete program and covers all listed dates or sessions. Check the full date schedule before purchasing.
Only where the workshop is identified as suitable for that age group. Any minimum age or supervision requirements will be stated on the workshop page.
Please contact Hillform as early as possible. The cancellation, transfer and credit options available will depend on how much notice you provide. See Workshop Booking Information for the current policy.
In most cases, yes, provided you tell Hillform before the workshop and the replacement attendee meets any age or experience requirements. We will need their attendee information before they arrive.
If Hillform needs to cancel a workshop, you will be offered a refund or, where appropriate, the option to move your booking or receive a credit. If a workshop is rescheduled, we will contact booked participants with the available options.
Where a waitlist is available, select “Join the waitlist” and tell us how many places you are looking for. If a place becomes available, we will contact the waitlist. Joining a waitlist does not guarantee a booking.
Yes. You can purchase a place for someone else, provided we receive the attendee information required for the workshop before the session. Gift cards may also be available once that option launches.
As a general guide, arrive 10–15 minutes before the published start time unless your booking confirmation tells you otherwise.
Contact Hillform before booking or as soon as possible after booking. We can talk you through the space, the activity and any practical considerations so you can make an informed decision.
